Job Description
About the Role
Working closely with our existing team and CTO, you’ll support the ongoing development of GoBubbles’ offering by helping to build predictive AI models intended to detect and eliminate online hate and misinformation.
With a passion for AI, data and visualisation, you’ll help to create robust NLP and computer vision solutions at a fast pace in order to maintain the requirements of our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Data pre-processing
Analysing and annotating large sets of visual data, you’ll create bounding boxes and data labels within images on Roboflow, to support computer vision object detection / image annotation.
- Collaboration
Working closely with the existing team including CTO, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Developers – as well as the wider team of different departments - you’ll have a collaborative yet fast-paced approach to extracting value from data, enabling the wider team to develop effective AI solutions
- Pace
With a “start-up” mentality, you’ll be naturally good with data and understand that time is of the essence.
You’ll be able to quickly deliver a high volume of models in a short period of time with maintenance later, rather than aiming for 100% accuracy first time, every time.
Although accuracy is important, sometimes we must deliver faster than perfection allows!
- Progress
Continuously reviewing the latest scientific discoveries and contributing ideas for future R&D projects.
Attending meetings at our HQ once per month, you’ll contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of our service – as well as making appropriate suggestions for our internal practices to help reach our goals in the most optimal way
Qualifications
Here's what you'll need to be successful in this role:
- 2+ years’ experience in data science including extraction, transformation and visualisation of data to build deployable AI models
- Experience with Jupyter, Pandas and Roboflow
- Experience working with image recognition and computer vision
- Having a real passion for all things AI, you’ll have worked on AI models before and take a personal interest in it - maybe you’ve even built your own AI hobby projects that you can share with us!
- Other languages / tools / software we use include Python, Figma, MongoDB, Git, Docker, Azure and GCP – so any experience with these would be a plus
