Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Communications is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with Glocient objectives.

This role will involve creating engaging content, managing internal and external communications, and enhancing the company's brand image across various platforms for all its properties.

  • Develop, write, and edit various types of content, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, social media updates, and website copy.
  • Manage media relations, plan and coordinate company events, including press conferences, product launches, and community outreach activities.
  • Draft and distribute internal communications such as memos, emails, and announcements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the company intranet and internal communication channels.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product teams, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice.
  • Conduct research to support communication strategies and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives and optimize strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.

Experience in the Hospitality Industry will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and social media platforms.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of branding and corporate identity principles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
