Program Director

  • Full-time

Company Description

The Network for Empowerment & Progressive Initiative (NEPI) combats youth violence to create safer, more inclusive societies. Founded in 2000 by its CEO, Klubosumo Johnson Borh, NEPI combines field expertise to support at-risk youth in Liberia with rigorous academic evidence. NEPI started in Liberia with programming grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); the intervention demonstrated a 20-50 percent decrease in crime in urban areas. With a robust group of global advisors and funders, NEPI is now expanding into Lagos to help high-risk youth engaged in crime and violence. Over the next year, we are planning to develop, adapt, and implement NEPI’s intervention in Lagos with four cohorts of 25 young men, 100 high-risk young men total. We hope to replicate the results from our work in Liberia, and determine a sustainable strategy for scaling across Nigeria.
