In this role, The Python Build Performance and Release Engineer will work closely with engineers, traders, and quantitative developers to implement, manage, and maintain a new continuous integration build process for our proprietary software and hardware systems. The Python Build Performance and Release Engineer will be responsible for helping implement, deploy, and maintain all tools associated with the development process including third-party libraries, compilers, continuous integration software, static analysis tools, memory checkers, profilers, trading systems performance reports, etc. The Python Build Performance and Release Engineer will be responsible for evaluations of all development technologies, taking part in the maintenance of the source code repositories, and maintaining the development environment and workflow. The Python Build Performance and Release Engineer will coordinate across three geographic regions that include Asia, Europe, and the United States. This position will be located in the Chicago office.

Rapidly growing proprietary trading firm with five offices in Chicago, London, New York City, Ottawa, and Sydney, seeks to add a Build, Performance and Release Engineer to join our already established IT Department.

Qualifications:

-Experience and proficiency in one or more C++ build systems.

-Familiarity with trading system performance analysis.

-Experience in coordinating releases with domestic international trading desks.

-Proficient in an object-oriented scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Strong process management skills.

-Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-A self-motivated personality with a passion for solving complex problems.

-Linux proficiency, Windows skills a plus.

-Bachelor’s degree with build and release experience.

-Major area of study: Preferably Computer Science or related.

-Strong GPA (3.0 or higher).
