Services Team
Our Services team plays an important role in keeping Gilbert + Tobin running smoothly and providing a high standard of support to our people and clients. Working across areas including the Print Room, Mail Room, facilities, front of house, meeting rooms and events, the team is known for being responsive, professional and always willing to help.
We are looking for a Print Room Operator to join our Sydney Services team. Working alongside another team member in the Print Room, you will provide a reliable and high-quality printing and document production service to teams across the firm.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, organisation and great service are key. You will manage a variety of print and document requests, often working to tight deadlines, and take pride in ensuring every job is completed accurately and professionally.
The working hours for this position are 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise and coordinate print and document production requests to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
- Clear communication of progress and manage expectations around deadlines
- Use advanced printing, copying and finishing techniques to produce high-quality documents
- Produce USBs for transaction bibles and other matter requirements
- Check reproduced documents carefully to ensure accuracy, presentation and quality
- Identify equipment issues, undertake basic troubleshooting and arrange service calls when required
- Assist with Mail Room duties from time to time, including sorting mail and coordinating couriers
- Provide general support to the broader Services team as required.
About you
You are someone who enjoys a practical, hands-on role and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work. You are organised, dependable and comfortable juggling competing priorities, while remaining approachable and helpful to those around you.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working in a high-volume printing, copying or document production environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and basic typing experience
- Experience converting Microsoft Office files to PDF, including formatting Excel workbooks for printing
- Experience using Fiery Command Workstation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload and meet tight deadlines
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support your team
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and confidence troubleshooting day-to-day issues.
