Our Legal Informatics Team
The Legal Informatics team at Gilbert + Tobin specialises in the application of technology to complex and time critical legal matters. Our work enables the handling of large volumes of electronic evidence in disputes and investigations, enabling efficient due diligence in high-profile deals and navigating bespoke datasets. Our expert application of market-leading technologies enables a scalable and secure approach to every legal matter, giving our clients a strategic advantage.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Legal Informatics Specialist to provide electronic discovery, document management, data room, data analytics and associated support to the lawyers and clients of the firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the day to day running and maintenance of large scale document review in Relativity, including - data imports, auditing, modelling, preparation of evidence and data exports;
- Assisting with the day to day running of eDiscovery processing in Relativity, including - data collection and transfers, preparing and manipulating data, and processing to Relativity;
- Familiarity with Relativity aiR suite;
- Assisting with the designing, establishing and modifying Legal Informatics best practice workflows for large scale document reviews and data rooms;
- Assisting legal teams with setup of Harvey vaults;
- Attending Court/Commissions/Inquiries as required and providing support for legal teams;
- Support due diligence AI tools such as Kira and Luminance; and
- Support virtual data rooms and deal rooms
About you
As our successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate a desire, and the capacity, to work on high profile and technically challenging discovery and regulatory matters. You should be an ambitious high performer, who is passionate about working at the cutting edge of legal technology, assisting with critical development of the firm’s internal eDiscovery capabilities. In addition, you will have:
- At least 4 years’ experience working on large scale and complex eDiscovery matters in Relativity
- A strong understanding of the eDiscovery process
- An ability to run a matter in accordance with the standard EDRM model
- Superior analytical and communication skills
- Familiarity with repository-based workflows
- Expert Microsoft Excel understanding
Other preferred skills and certifications include:
- Holding a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) qualification
- Using and implementing Relativity Dynamic Objects
- Experience using and managing Relativity Integration points
- Use of JIRA and Confluence for project management
- Basic command-line and powershell interfacing
- SQL scripting
- Python scripting
- Familiarity with Relativity application development
- Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet agreed deadlines.
