Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead, Technology Projects to join our Architecture Strategy & Design (ASD) team within the Technology Group. This role combines leadership and hands-on delivery, offering the opportunity to drive impactful technology projects while leading a high-performing team.
You will work closely with the Business Transformation Team, Architecture and Delivery functions, and stakeholders across the firm to ensure technology solutions are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives.
About the role
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure balanced workloads and optimal delivery
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Manage end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategy, scope, time and budget
- Establish strong project governance, including risk management and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate closely with architecture and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into deliverable projects
- Work closely with the Business Transformation Team to ensure alignment across initiatives
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a broad range of stakeholders
- Promote best practice project management methodologies and frameworks
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency
- Ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
About you
- Proven experience leading project teams in a technology environment
- Strong end-to-end project management experience
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire teams
- Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Significant experience delivering projects within complex technology environments
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or similar) highly regarded
- Proactive, adaptable and results-driven
- Strong relationship-building skills and collaborative mindset
- Comfortable leading through change in a dynamic environment
- Passionate about continuous improvement and developing others
