About Marketing and Business Development
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to help drive growth in G+T’s Technology and Intellectual Property practice and Technology sector strategy.
This is a newly created and strategic role for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, collaborates confidently with senior stakeholders and sees opportunity in complexity.
Working closely with partners and the Marketing and Business Development team, you will shape and deliver initiatives that strengthen our market position, deepen client relationships and identify new revenue opportunities. You will work alongside sector-leading partners who value clarity, momentum and fresh thinking.
Partnering closely with the Technology and Intellectual Property partners and colleagues across Marketing and Business Development, you will support the firm’s growth by building strong client relationships, elevating our market profile and developing new opportunities aligned to the Technology sector.
About the Role
The Senior Business Development Manager plays a central role in delivering G+T’s Technology and Intellectual Property growth strategy.
You will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to strengthen client relationships and enhance market positioning.
- Lead and refine the Technology and Intellectual Property growth strategy aligned with firm objectives.
- Develop and manage annual business plans with clear commercial goals and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor sector trends, competitor activity and market developments to inform priorities.
- Provide data-driven insights on revenue, pipeline and client performance.
- Drive strategic client targeting and support partners to pursue high-value opportunities.
- Develop tailored account plans for priority clients.
- Facilitate cross-practice collaboration to deepen and expand client relationships.
- Translate client insights into actionable growth initiatives.
- Support significant pursuits, proposals and requests for proposal.
- Prepare persuasive capability statements and client materials.
- Coach partners and lawyers for client meetings and presentations.
- Plan and deliver campaigns, thought leadership and client events aligned to sector priorities.
- Partner with Communications to strengthen market profile and positioning.
- Act as a trusted adviser to partners and contribute to continuous improvement of business development processes and tools.
About You
You are a commercially minded business development professional who thrives in evolving environments. You are proactive, collaborative and motivated by delivering meaningful impact.
You will have:
- Eight plus years’ experience in business development, client management or strategic marketing.
- Experience in professional services, ideally within a law firm or legal environment.
- Strong understanding of the technology sector and its commercial landscape.
- A record of delivering business development and client engagement programs with measurable impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach.
