Job Description

  • Supervise electrical works, including lighting, power distribution, cable containment, cable laying, termination, earthing, and lightning protection.
  • Coordinate the installation of DBs, SMDBs, MDBs, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and related equipment.
  • Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals before starting work.
  • Allocate manpower, tools, materials, and equipment according to daily work priorities.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure work is completed within the approved schedule.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and other project teams.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure proper testing, commissioning, fault identification, and rectification of electrical systems.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, manpower reports, material requests, and inspection requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any delays or technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and toolbox-talk instructions.
  • Verify that electrical work complies with UAE regulations and relevant project standards.
  • Support snagging, de-snagging, final inspection, and project handover activities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical MEP construction projects.
  • UAE experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or oil and gas projects is preferred.

Additional Information

  • Good knowledge of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and cable schedules.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, electrical installation methods, and safety procedures.
  • Strong supervision, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage technicians, electricians, helpers, and subcontractor personnel.
  • ADNOC or other relevant client approval will be an advantage.
