Job Description
- Inspect welding activities for piping, pipelines, structures, pressure vessels and equipment.
- Review approved WPS, PQR and welder qualification records.
- Verify welder qualifications before assigning welding activities.
- Conduct material identification, joint fit-up and visual welding inspections.
- Verify welding consumables, storage conditions, baking and issuance records.
- Monitor preheating, interpass temperature, welding parameters and post-weld heat treatment.
- Ensure welding activities comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate NDT activities, including RT, UT, MT, PT and PMI.
- Review NDT reports and monitor the repair of welding defects.
- Prepare and submit inspection requests to the client or consultant.
- Maintain weld maps, inspection records, NDT status and welder performance reports.
- Issue non-conformance reports and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, NDT, client and third-party inspection teams.
- Participate in material receiving inspections and verify material certificates.
- Witness procedure qualification tests and welder qualification tests.
- Support pressure testing, reinstatement, mechanical completion and final handover.
- Prepare daily and weekly quality reports.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC quality and HSE requirements.
- Support offshore brownfield, shutdown and tie-in activities.
- Maintain complete quality dossiers and final project documentation.

Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Welding Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of welding inspection experience in Oil & Gas projects.
- Minimum 3–5 years of offshore project experience.
- ADNOC Offshore experience is preferred.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI certification is mandatory.
- ASNT/PCN Level II certification in relevant NDT methods is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3, API 1104, AWS D1.1 and applicable ADNOC standards.
Additional Information
- Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex and alloy steel materials is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, welding symbols and project specifications.
- Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, NDT, PWHT, PMI and hardness testing requirements.
- Good reporting, documentation, communication and coordination skills.
- Valid BOSIET/HUET certification and offshore medical fitness are preferred.
