Job Description
To deliver & integrate all Project planning activities and deliverables for an oil and gas EPC projects. Responsible for delivery of standard, consistent and realistic project plans reflecting the assessed risk parameters for each project.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/Level 4 project schedules in accordance with project requirements and ADNOC standards.
- Prepare and maintain the overall project baseline schedule covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical activities, and potential schedule impacts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and management reports.
- Perform critical path analysis and recommend mitigation and recovery actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Fabrication, Marine/Offshore Installation, Commissioning, and Subcontractor teams to obtain accurate progress information.
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms, equipment requirements, and productivity forecasts.
- Review subcontractor and contractor schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
- Prepare and monitor 2-week, 3-week, and 4-week look-ahead schedules.
- Track engineering deliverables, material procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, commissioning, and project milestones.
- Analyze schedule variances and prepare delay analysis, recovery plans, and catch-up schedules.
- Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) and schedule impact analysis when required.
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) and analyze planned value, earned value, actual cost, SPI, CPI, and forecast completion.
- Ensure proper integration between cost control, planning, progress measurement, and project reporting.
- Participate in project progress meetings with the client, consultants, subcontractors, and project management team.
- Identify schedule risks and opportunities and maintain the project schedule risk register.
- Prepare S-curves, progress curves, manpower curves, productivity reports, and KPI dashboards.
- Review and validate progress claimed by subcontractors and ensure reported progress is supported by actual physical achievements.
- Provide planning input for offshore campaigns, vessel mobilization, installation sequences, shutdown activities, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager regarding schedule performance, key milestones, and recovery strategies.
- Ensure timely updating and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and project controls methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project controls/reporting tools.
Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
- 10–15 years of experience in project planning and controls.
- Strong experience in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCI projects, preferably offshore.
- Previous experience working on ADNOC/ADNOC Offshore projects is highly desirable.
- Experience covering the complete project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and handover.
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary and subcontractor schedules.
- Experience in schedule development, baseline management, progress measurement, forecasting, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
