Job Description
- Assist pipe fitters and welders during piping fabrication, installation, and erection activities.
- Support in handling, shifting, loading, and unloading of pipes, fittings, valves, and piping materials.
- Assist in pipe alignment, fit-up, preparation, and installation activities as instructed by the Foreman.
- Carry out basic tasks such as cleaning, grinding, cutting assistance, deburring, and material preparation.
- Assist in installation of pipe supports, clamps, brackets, and other piping components.
- Prepare work areas, tools, and materials required for daily piping activities.
- Support rigging activities during movement and positioning of piping materials.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the work location and ensure safe access around work areas.
- Assist in dismantling and reinstatement activities during piping modifications or maintenance works.
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, and other pre-commissioning activities as required.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of piping materials to prevent damage.
- Operate hand tools safely under the guidance of skilled personnel.
- Follow instructions from the Piping Foreman and support the team in completing assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Basic education or vocational training preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical/piping work is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Piping Helper in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects.
- Previous experience supporting pipe fitters and welders is preferred.
