Job Description
- Assist electricians and instrument technicians during installation and maintenance activities.
- Support cable pulling, cable dressing, cable tray installation, and conduit works.
- Assist with installation of junction boxes, isolators, panels, instruments, and field devices.
- Carry out material handling, shifting, loading, and unloading of electrical and instrumentation materials.
- Assist in cable preparation, tagging, identification, and routing activities.
- Support installation of sensors, transmitters, control devices, and HVAC field instruments.
- Assist in termination activities under the supervision of skilled technicians.
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for daily E&I activities.
- Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, cutting, drilling, and support installation as instructed.
- Assist during testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of cables, instruments, and electrical materials.
- Support troubleshooting activities by providing assistance to technicians.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow instructions from the E&I Foreman and support completion of assigned tasks.
- Report damaged tools, unsafe conditions, and material shortages to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Basic education or technical training preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, or HVAC works is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an E&I Helper in Oil & Gas or Industrial projects.
- Familiarity with cables, cable trays, conduits, junction boxes, and field instruments.
