Job Description
A BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) Head is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and profitability of a specific business unit within the organization. This role involves setting and executing the business unit's strategic objectives, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business unit strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and profit targets.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of managers and professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team's productivity and development.
- Product and Service Development: Oversee the development and enhancement of financial products and services offered by the business unit, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks within the business unit.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure the business unit complies with all industry regulations, policies, and procedures, and stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the BFSI sector.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the business unit's performance, regularly reporting to senior management.
- Technology Adoption: Stay current with technological advancements in the BFSI sector and assess their relevance to the business unit's operations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree (Desired)
Experience
10+ years in the BFSI sector with a track record of leadership and results

- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices
- Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and services
