Job Description
Overall responsibilities:
- Evaluate tender ITT / ITB documents, drawing, specification, and Project schedules and understand the instrumentation scope of work.
- Preparation of cost sheet like direct cost, indirect cost, temporary facilities, and other related cost to tender.
- Floating enquiries to suppliers / manufacturers / subcontractors as required.
- Prepare and review datasheets, control wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings, cable schedule, instrument index, I/O list, loop drawings, termination diagrams, cause and effect charts, & P&ID’s.
- Identify potential issues or areas of risk and communicate with Proposals & Estimation Manager.
- Collaborate with other intra-company and other estimators to ensure that estimate are accurate and complete.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate project tender documents ITT / ITB documents, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and project schedules and identify the cost estimation basis.
- Prepare and float inquiries to suppliers / manufacturers / subcontractors. Review and validate estimates form sub-vendors.
- Prepare detailed bill of quantity and verify material take-offs during the tender’s stage and support projects team during execution.
- Prepare and review datasheets, control wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings, cable schedule, instrument index, I/O list, loop drawings, termination diagrams, cause and effect charts, & P&ID’s.
- Review tender documents for instruments, DCS, ESD, RTU, SCADA, Telecom & F&G System.
- Prepare cost sheet for construction package for main contractor.
- Prepare cost comparison between suppliers and subcontractors and identify the factors.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and summaries for instrumentation related scope of work, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, overheads, contingencies, and profit margins.
- Contribute to project execution plan and prepare technical proposal write-up for related scope of work.
- Contribute to commercial proposals and provide detailed basis for related scope of work.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on commercial aspects of the scope and products.
- Provide technical support and guidance to projects teams and clients on instrumentation related issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or related field) with sufficient experience (08-12 Years) and minimum 05 years in the Oil & Gas, Power & Utility industry. Affinity and familiar with Engineering, Procurement and Contracting aspects both onshore and offshore in power and utility industry.

- Excellent knowledge to review contract / commercial documents and their terms and conditions.
- Good knowledge of ADNOC standards and specifications.
- Maintaining ISO documentation, record keeping, suppliers / manufacturers data bank record.
