Job Description
Overall responsibilities:
- Evaluate tender ITT / ITB documents, drawing, specification, and Project schedules.
- Floating enquiries to suppliers / manufacturers / subcontractors as required.
- Prepare detailed bill of quantity BOQ and verify the material take off MTO.
- Estimate cost for direct, in-direct, and temporary facilities.
- Establish cost estimation basis and benchmarks for Civil discipline within the organization and update as per the changes in market norms.
- Identify potential issues or areas of risk and communicate with Proposals & Estimation Manager.
- Collaborate with other intra-company and other estimators to ensure that estimate are accurate and complete.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate project tender documents ITT / ITB documents, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and project schedules and identify the cost estimation basis.
- Prepare and float inquiries to suppliers / manufacturers / subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed bill of quantity and verify material take-offs during the tenders stage and support projects team during execution.
- Ability to read the civil / structural drawing and prepare cost sheet for Civil & Structural works, geotechnical surveys / topo graphical survey.
- Coordinate internally with project teams based on the established benchmarks, estimate the cost for direct, in-direct, and temporary facilities.
- Prepare cost comparison between suppliers and subcontractors and identify the factors.
- Contribute to project execution plan and prepare technical proposal for Civil scope of work.
- Contribute to commercial proposal and provide detailed basis for Civil scope of work.
- Preparation of drawings and calculations and review with municipality, clients, end users and other authorities.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on commercial aspects of the scope and products.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural) with sufficient experience (08-12 Years Experience) and minimum 05 years in the Oil & Gas industry. Affinity and familiar with Engineering, Procurement and Contracting aspects both onshore and offshore
Additional Information
- Having excellent knowledge, experience and familiarity with civil / structural related standards such as ASTM, BS, EN, etc. used in oil & gas industries. Familiar with SHELL DEP, ADNOC specifications and amendments are an added advantage.
- Maintaining ISO documentation, record keeping, suppliers / manufacturers data bank records.
