Job Description
- Prepares and reviews fire alarm system engineering deliverables such as design basis, design drawings, datasheets, calculations and material and equipment specifications.
- Prepares specifications and materials requisition for purchase of electrical materials and equipment.
- Resolves specialty related electrical engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
- Analyzes problems, organizes investigations and determines specific design criteria.
- Recommends increases in resources and special equipment.
- Advises and instructs team members in the use of new or specialized procedures.
- Determines and schedules work priorities.
- Revises design specifications and suggests new alternatives.
- Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Conducts field investigations and prepares reports for finding or issues.
- Develops progress reports.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with significant experience of 10 years.
Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in electrical engineering on large to megaprojects.
