Job Description

To Coordinate with Execution team to arrange the Materials and Equipment as per scheduled duration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of consignment.
  • Create and introduce best practice methods and or adjust existing processes accordingly, in collaboration with inter departments.
  • Coordinates movement and expedites the flow of products from suppliers, in the warehouse and throughout the delivery to destination.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Coordinating and managing the transportation of materials from suppliers to customers or between different locations.
  • Creating and managing shipment schedules, routes, and delivery timelines.
  • Communicating with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of shipments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments using computer software and databases.
  • Analyzing logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Working closely with other departments such as purchasing, production, and customer service to ensure seamless coordination of logistics operations.
  • Planning and coordinating logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

  • Following up logistics activities with relevant authorities and different suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain

Additional Information

Skills & Professional Requirements:

  • Proficient in ERP & skills related to LMS (Logistics management systems)
  • Clear understanding of INCOTERMS & Letter of Credit
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook as a minimum)
  • Good English communication skill.
  • Arabic Speaking is an advantage.

Experience Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience as a Logistics Co-ordinator in Abu Dhabi Municipality / ITC / ADDC Projects.
  • Experienced in road permits, approvals, etc., with ITC / Abu Dhabi Police
  • Candidates with prior experience in the Electrical industry shall be preferrable.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Ability to read Engineering and Technical Drawings.
