Indirect tax

Preparation of monthly VAT returns in UAE  

Review of monthly VAT returns in KSA, Kenya, Indonesia, India (GST)

Direct tax

Monthly review of withholding tax payments in India, Kenya, Indonesia.

Review of withholding tax transactions and annual WHT form filing in KSA

Review of annual income tax returns in KSA, Kenya, India and Indonesia.

Computation and payment of Instalment tax in India and Kenya.

Assessments

Preparation of reports and reconciliations required by tax authorities in all the operations.

Coordinating with consultants for timely submission of responses to tax authorities.

Others

Review of Companies act annual returns and forms in Kenya and India.  

Review and payment/ filing of local jurisdictional taxes and forms.

Ensure proper archiving of all tax related documents.

Continued review and update of compliance checklists

Secure signoff on monthly checklists

Group Audit

Compilation and preparation of all documents and schedules for audit.

Respond to auditors’ queries.

Remote operations audit

Coordinating with auditors of remote operations for timely completion of audit.

Review of income tax and deferred tax calculations in applicable jurisdictions.

Tax audit

Coordinating with auditors for review and finalization of tax audit in India (conducted separately), Kenya, Indonesia and KSA.

Transfer Pricing audit

Coordinate with Transfer Pricing auditors for preparation of Transfer Pricing audit report (India, Kenya and Indonesia)

Track the nature of transactions with related parties and ensure adherence to Transfer Pricing policy.

Internal audit

Respond to internal audit queries and observations.

Maintaining track of internal audit observations and their closure

Computation of provisions (inventory, receivables and tax) and calculation of forex gain/loss of remote operations.

Preparation and maintenance of IFRS workings (IFRS 9 and 16).

Passing elimination entries for consolidation.

Preparation and review of MIS (MOR submitted to HO)

Preparation of reports and reconciliations as required by Head Office.

Collection of information from Sales team.

Assist FM in preparation of individual and consolidated budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Honor's degree preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Fully compliant as a tax practitioner.
  • Filing of corporate tax returns.

  • Proficiency in the relevant management software programs.
