Job Description
The Electrical Foreman "Street Light" will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of street light electrical systems. They will lead a team of electricians and ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Electrical Foreman - Street Light will also be responsible for ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- The electrical foreman is responsible for supervising and managing the work of electricians and other staff members on a daily basis. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring that work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Electrical foremen are responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. They should also ensure that their team members are aware of and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- The electrical foreman should identify training needs and provide relevant training to their team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their work effectively and safely.
- The electrical foreman should be an effective communicator, able to provide clear instructions to team members and liaise with other stakeholders such as site engineer, project engineer and project managers.
- The electrical foreman should be able to identify and resolve issues that arise during work, including technical problems and conflicts among team members.
- The electrical foreman should maintain accurate records of work carried out, including hours worked, materials used, and progress made. They should also prepare reports for management and clients as required.
- The electrical foreman should inspect work performed by electricians to ensure that it meets quality standards and specifications.
- The electrical foreman should ensure that all equipment is maintained properly, kept in good condition, and stored safely when not in use.
- The electrical foreman should ensure that materials required for the work are ordered on time and in the right quantities.
- The electrical foreman should work to build a cohesive and effective team, fostering a positive work environment, and resolving conflicts between team members.
- The electrical foreman should maintain good relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that they are kept informed about progress and any issues that arise.
- The electrical foreman should have a high level of technical expertise, including knowledge of electrical systems and components, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- The electrical foreman should identify areas for improvement and work to continually improve processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman electrician certification.
