Job Description
The resource is responsible for defining the technical requirements and coordinating the engineering activities related to glass furnace plants for the production of glass containers, ensuring that the solutions are aligned with company standards, production requirements, and the objectives of reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Defines, in collaboration with suppliers, the technical guidelines for the design of furnace plants and their related sections, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet process, performance, reliability, and maintainability requirements
- Prepares the technical project and procurement specifications for automation systems, control software, electrical systems, process instrumentation, and other plant equipment, producing the documentation required for requests for quotation (RFQs) and the development of supplies.
- Coordinates suppliers by providing technical direction, evaluating proposed solutions, and verifying their compliance with defined requirements and company standards.
- Maintains and updates technical documentation and plant layouts, either by preparing them directly or by coordinating external engineering companies, ensuring their quality, completeness, and consistency.
- Monitors the progress of supplies, verifying compliance with schedules, quality, costs, and performance targets, and promotes the necessary corrective actions in the event of deviations.
- Supervises plant installation and construction activities on site
- Analyzes furnace plant performance during operation, developing analytical tools to monitor performance, optimize plant operation, and improve production efficiency.
- Collaborates with the relevant company functions (Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, HSE, and Engineering) to ensure the successful development of projects, the standardization of plant solutions, and the continuous improvement of melting technologies.
Qualifications
- 5/6 years of experience in similar roles within complex industrial environments
- Good knowledge of English language
- Leadership, good communication and relationship skills
