Job Description

The Specialist Tool Specialist is responsible for improvement and further development of maintenance plans of injection molds, technical support during problem solving activities including repair of mold parts, and management of spare parts for molds, aiming downtime reduction.

  • Creates and/or optimizes the maintenance plans of the moulds
  • Observes and oversees/directs repairs of the functioning installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of components;
  • Performs complex troubleshooting, analysis, inspection, and modification of injection moulds
  • Create an interface between production and tool suppliers
  • Proactive, trusting cooperation with internal interfaces (e.g. production, quality, validation) Transfer of know-how of moulds with new technology during transfer projects
  • Conducts factory acceptance tests of new moulds

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mechatronics/Industrial or Mechanics/Tool Mechanic in a manufacturing facility, preferably in the construction or repair of injection moulds
  • Good knowledge of common machining methods (spark erosion, grinding, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of maintenance and repair of injection moulds, good knowledge of mechanics (focus on injection molding tools).
