Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 380 employees. 

Job Description

Management and further development of the process technology area to ensure systematic problem solving and optimization of all tasks (man, machine, method, environment, material). Sustainable implementation of corrective measures in the event of recurring errors to ensure trouble-free production operations by the subordinate employees.

  • Personnel management with all the individual tasks involved (initiating disciplinary measures, evaluating employees, staff appraisals, personnel development, etc.)
  • Responsibility for the ongoing optimization of production processes using methods (GMS)
  • Ensuring the sustainable implementation of corrective measures in the event of recurring errors to ensure trouble-free production operations by subordinate employees.
  • Ensuring the continuous improvement of work processes and organization (especially personnel and processes)
  • Planning and implementation of workshops
  • Ensuring and participating in the qualification of production systems
  • Ensuring the documentation of all changes
  • Planning and implementation of sampling for new start-ups after changes
  • Initiating root cause analyses / corrections in the event of repeat errors, complaints, etc.
  • Independent initiation of necessary escalation measures
  • Processing suggestions for improvement
  • Proactive, trusting cooperation with internal interfaces (e.g. quality, tool service, TCC/SEC, OPEX, etc.)
  • Initiating and participating in FMEAs
  • Contributing to specifications for IM, tools and assembly systems
  • Supervision of transfer projects with sub-project responsibility
  • Technical contact person for internal interfaces (e.g. plant and production management, customer support, etc.)

Qualifications

Knowledge acquired as part of a 3-year technical apprenticeship (e.g. as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician or process mechanic), expanded through relevant further training as a technician or master craftsman and deepened through targeted further training in specialized knowledge. The job requires at least five years of experience in a comparable function with personnel responsibility.
