Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees. 

Job Description

  • Develop optimal process conditions using decoupled molding techniques for new product launches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to molding processes, materials, or equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Evaluate tooling for potential improvements in quality and efficiency, providing recommendations to optimize molding processes, setups, and overall manufacturing.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to enhance process capability and performance.
  • Maintain and update mold process sheets to ensure they reflect the most accurate process settings.
  • Train and support process technicians in the application of scientific molding principles.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction efforts and efficiency enhancements.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to analyze process capabilities and implement process improvements.
  • Program and fine-tune robots and peripheral equipment to support automated processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of practical, hands-on experience in injection molding.
  • Strong working knowledge of injection molding processes and ancillary equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various thermoplastic materials and their properties.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and precision.

  • RJG Master Molder I/II certification.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior members of the molding process development team.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends to meet project or production demands.
