Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees. 

Job Description

  • Milling:

    • Manufacture and machine parts according to technical drawings.
    • Create CAM programs for efficient machining operations.
    • Perform independent quality control of milled components to ensure precision.
  • Cylindrical Grinding:

    • Produce and machine parts as specified by drawings.
    • Conduct independent quality inspections of completed components.
  • Eroding:

    • Manufacture and machine parts following drawings and specifications.
    • Develop programs for eroding processes.
    • Independently verify the quality of eroded components.
    • Manage the electrode store and inventory.
  • General:

    • Operate machinery independently to complete tasks.
    • Assist in and perform maintenance on machines in line with set guidelines.
    • Record any dimensional changes directly on technical drawings.
    • Ensure both the quality and quantity of output meet required standards autonomously.

Qualifications

  • Completed 3-year technical apprenticeship (e.g., as a tool mechanic) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the maintenance of injection molds.
  • Strong technical understanding of machine tools, particularly in milling, cylindrical grinding, and eroding processes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Experience in creating CAM programs for machining processes.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting quality checks and maintaining high standards of precision.
  • Familiarity with maintaining machine tools and troubleshooting common mechanical issues.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to ensuring both quality and efficiency in production processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing electrode stores or similar inventory.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
