Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 87,500 sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.
Job Description
Technical coordination of a shift group to ensure scheduled day to day operations are on track.
- Technical coordination of a shift group to ensure smooth production flow (overview and evaluation of current production, initiation of necessary measures, if necessary after coordination)
- Supporting the responsible manager in personnel-related issues (e.g. employee development, absenteeism, personnel deployment, etc.)
- Assumption of activities in the current production according to specification
- Train team members on safe work practices and promote safe work habits.
- Assist in assembling of products and parts according to trained to work instructions.
- Adhere to and enforce quality and quantity requirements.
- Adhere to and enforce proper production procedures and processes.
- Prepare and maintain materials for production.
- Perform visual inspection of parts.
- Correctly complete production documentation.
- Assist in packaging of finished products.
- Cooperate with and lead team members.
- Inform supervisor and quality department of product or part discrepancies and differences.
- Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with all hygiene procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean work area per 5S standards.
- Perform necessary functions in SAP and Guardus systems.
Qualifications
- Knowledge as taught in the course of 3-year industrial/technical training and deepened through targeted advanced training of specialized knowledge. The work assignment prefers at least three years of experience in a comparable function with planning/coordination tasks.
- Good knowledge of general processes in production
- Good knowledge of manual assembly and injection molding processes
- Ability to manage people
- Basic IT user skills (e.g. Office programs, MES & ERP)
- Fluent in the English language both spoken and written
