Job Description

  • Evaluates market opportunities for new products and product extension.
  • Leads customer product technical support and problem resolution for Automation application.
  • Supports customers and sales personnel with market refinement and education.
  • Develops new product designs and modifies current designs in response to demand.
  • Develops and maintains quotes working with engineering and operational support.
  • Build effective personal relationships with customers and automation partners as needed.
  • Act as a technical resource for management, manufacturing, sales, customers and automation partners.
  • Support intellectual property activities arising from divisional, existing, and development projects.
  • Lead core team on new product development projects and transfer projects.
  • Provide frequent and appropriate communications with all internal and external customers.
  • Stays current on core competencies and best practices in product design and development.
  • Travel to customer and automation partner locations, may be required up to 60%.
  • Individual is motivated by completing a task; meets personal due dates by managing his/her own time.
  • Is quality driven and team oriented with excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills.
  • Travel anticipated to be 60% of time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales / Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, is required. 
  • 5 years of sales or engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience in product development, preferably in the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience in development of Healthcare applications or pharmaceutical packaging is preferred.
  • Experience with risk management tools (e.g. FMEA), statistical analysis, and strong analytical skills.
  • Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Proven ability to present information through use of programs like Excel and PowerPoint.
