Gerresheimer will build and establish a new facility in Skopje, North Macedonia as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry.
Job Description
- Support of the set-up of the production facility and leading the production ramp-up within the targeted project time line
- Implement and optimize manufacturing processes based on the corporate standards with consideration for safety, quality and efficiency according to “lean” methodologies to adapt quickly to changing market requirements
- Improve efficiency and effectivity through process and system improvements covering the whole organization and across all levels to maximize revenue
- Lead the transition to a High Performance organization including the definition and implementation of the corresponding interfaces
- Close cooperation with the sales department including participation at customer meetings and visits to support the implementation of the sales strategy
- Selection, hiring and consequently leading the personnel development of the direct reports on site with assistance of the Head of HR
- Together with finance, analyze costs and variances against established standards and sets necessary corrective actions; assure proper monthly reports to German HQ
- Initiate and successfully implement investment projects including the supervision of necessary site expansion
- Coordinate and align processes abreast with other departments and assure proper usage of ERP systems
- Develop annual plans (OPSP) in conjunction with finance and sales as well as with the German headquarters
- Set-up, extend and secure a well-run organization and facilitate teamwork and success through continuing education, structured communication, and the implementation of new technology
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years as Plant/Site Manager experience in the precision plastic mold manufacturing industry as well as assembly of complex systems, preferably with the use in pharmaceutical and medical applications
- B.S. / M.S. Industrial Engineering or technical field mandatory, MBA beneficial but not required
- Macedonian: business fluent (required), English fluent (required), German skills would be an advantage
- Solid understanding of and experience with manufacturing, inventory management, production scheduling, supply chain, and sales
- Demonstrable understanding of manufacturing with a focus on “Process Efficiencies” (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TQM, TPS, Six Sigma or 5S) paired with the definition and implementation of production related KPI’s
- Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills, with ability to analyze and improve business structures and processes, as well as the ability to effectively communicate goals and objectives to staff
- Familiar with the cost management/control using KPI’s, SAP as ERP system and the corresponding finance report s according to IFRS and GAAP
- International and intercultural work experience as well as working within a global collaborative framework
- Strong ability to “walk the talk” into the organization with an authentic personality and clear customer orientation; self-driven and passionate
- Stable, solid personality with strong leadership skills able to quickly establish credibility internally and externally
- Structured problem-solving abilities with a high-level of intrinsic motivation and an organized personality focused on objectives without losing sight of relevant budgetary requirements

- Leads by example with a visibly hands-on approach and leverages excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish contacts and build relationships
- Willingness to international business travel within the first month of the employment as onboarding will be mainly in our facilities in Germany for at least three month
- Employment will be with our company in the Republic of North Macedonia
