The Genesee Theatre is an active and vibrant theatre located in downtown Waukegan, IL. Production Assistant Responsibilities

• Work with tours, managers and artists to advance events.
• Assist in the management of backstage operations.
• Develop event schedules, advance sheets, expense tracking and estimates.
• Handle stage management, Special Event production and hospitality coordination as needed.
• Show runner duties, including transporting tour personnel and ordering food and supplies.

Production Assistant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of technical stage practices and basic carpentry skills. 
• Maintain a professional demeanor and image and work well under pressure.
