Enable business growth and advance GMI reputation in Europe and Australia in the areas of nutrition science, health and wellness communication, external regulatory influence, and issues management.
This person will have overall accountability for Health and Nutrition for specific product platforms. This leader will proactively manage an evolving Health and Nutrition arena by developing, communicating, and implementing strategies that protect and enhance the position of General Mills and its products.
This role will report directly to the Head of Health and Nutrition for EUAU with significant partnership with region and country business and technical teams.
In this role you will be responsible to:
•Take leadership as the go to Nutrition Expert across our snacks platform whilst also providing support to the meals platforms, with scope for other platforms as relevant.
•Work directly with the business, category and brand teams on health and wellness strategies including nutrition expert input on renovation, innovation and messaging substantiation.
•Represent General Mills and collaborate with stakeholders across specific trade associations, external organisations and public health stakeholders on health and nutrition topics.
•Provide significant nutrition expertise, education and influence on the evolving external health and nutrition arena with key internal and external stakeholders to protect and leverage General Mills reputation and products.
•Ensure reporting on region specific pledges as appropriate.
•Provide regional and category perspectives as part of global position development.
•Degree in Nutrition or a related scientific field.
•Minimum 5 years of food industry experience in nutrition.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
•Strong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organisation, different nationalities and cultures.
•Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Good team player.
•Detail oriented, organised, and self-motivator.
•Ability to plan and deliver against tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and retain flexibility within a fast paced, changing environment.
•Ability to communicate and present complex topics in laymen’s terms.
•Ability to convince and influence in non-hierarchial networks.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Office 365, and SharePoint.
