Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for improving the online path to purchase across GM and Yoplait brands by identifying the right digital / technology solutions to increase traffic and drive online sales. Proven experience in making brands stand out through digital solutions will be essential. You will drive the agenda for E-Commerce and digital in this ambitious team and work with global & local brands teams to ensure they are following best practice. This person will be instrumental in leveraging our digital strategy and will be the thought leader in helping steer us towards more digital- led marketing activities with the below :

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify where to play and how to win to maximise ecommerce sales across grocery customers and online pure players (Ocado/Amazon)
  • Work with brand teams to better connect digital marketing campaigns to sales by developing a clear online path to purchase across all pillar brands
  • ‘Growth hackers’: Continually optimise online spending to focus on the areas with the biggest ROI
  • Deepen relationship with key ecommerce customers through developing clear, insight-driven plans
  • Establish the right agency partnerships to deliver engaging, agile content creation
  • Work closely with the regional ecommerce team to deliver marketing plans aligned to regional strategy and champion ecommerce best practices within the cluster
  • Identify new digital and technology solutions that can help accelerate growth online and instore (Activation Labs)

  •  World Foods Marketing Manager (Dotted line to ecommerce regional director)

Qualifications

The Candidate Requires:

  • 5-6 years experience within ecommerce marketing either within a CPG organisation or working for ecommerce companies (Amazon, Ocado, etc)
  • CPG marketing experience beneficial but not necessary
  • Experience working directly with Amazon/Ocado/Google or similar would be beneficial
  • Ability to think strategically and influence within a matrix structure
  • Passion for driving growth and leading change
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Passionate about consumers and food – really enjoys understanding what is going on for consumers and able to provide examples of real consumer insight
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Ability to develop winning strategies which produce step changes in business results
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead & motivate others through the conveying of compelling visions that are consistent with and build on the interest and strategies of the organisation 
  • Commercially savvy with a good understanding of drivers of profitability
  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity; self-directed
  • Comfortable with using data to communicate results and refine strategies
  • Experience using reporting tools to extract insights (e.g. Crimson Hexagon, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights)
  • Strong people skills and able to effectively manage community criticism; experience with issues and crisis management
  • Strong collaborator; able to quickly track down answers for community questions and work with a diverse team to plan and execute social and digital plans
  • Excellent project management skills, able to plan effectively, time management and the ability to delegate appropriately
