Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an expanding FMCG business and lead the UKIN Accounting team in the delivery of a range of Accounting and Control responsibilities. The business operates in a dynamic environment so the role calls for an individual who thrives on change and the ability to adapt. Key to the role is the implementation of global and regional Accounting and Control initiatives, adherence to global best practice and policies, statutory accounting, systems and process optimization and development of a team of three. There will be a strong emphasis on multi-site working to maximize global shared service centre opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring Regional Stewardship initiatives to life in the UKIN cluster

    • Lead Control Self Assessments, develop action plans to address gaps. Own the SOX compliance effort

    • Seek alignment of Yoplait and General Mills Accounting controls, processes and systems

    • Accounting SME for BEPS transfer pricing project

    • Drive working capital improvement initiatives

  • Responsible for external audit preparation and management

  • Lead the statutory accounting effort

  • Reporting, planning and analysis of Admin expense budget for the UK and Ireland markets

  • Enhance the payroll process

  • Management and coaching of team of three

  • Partner with third party service provider to optimize outsourced Accounting processes and tasks

  • Leadership of ad-hoc accounting projects


The Candidate

Essential: Experience/Exposure

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA 1-2 years PQE

  • Familiarity with local and US GAAP and statutory account completion

  • Staff responsibility and evidence of coaching and development of others

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Budget management

  • Audit experience

  • Exposure to a shared service centre environment and transfer pricing would be a distinct advantage
