Job Description

Key Aspects of the Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an expanding FMCG business as the Accounting lead responsible for adherence to global Accounting & Control best practice and policies, statutory accounting, systems and process optimization and development of a team of three. There will be a strong emphasis on multi-site working to maximize shared service centre opportunities and drive regional best practice and alignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring Regional Stewardship initiatives to life in the UKIN cluster
    • Lead Control Self Assessments, develop action plans to address gaps. Own the SOX compliance effort

    • Seek alignment of Yoplait and General Mills Accounting controls, processes and systems

    • Accounting Subject Matter Expert for BEPS project

    • Build on existing Cashflow, Working Capital & Balance Sheet reporting capabilities to drive improvements

  • Responsible for external audit preparation and management

  • Lead the statutory accounting effort for the UK, Ireland, Sweden and Norway entities

  • Reporting, planning and analysis of Admin expense budget for the UK and Ireland markets

  • Develop the payroll process as required

  • Management and coaching of team of three

  • Partner with third party service provider to optimize outsourced Accounting processes
    and tasks

  • Leadership of ad-hoc accounting projects


The Candidate


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA 3 years PQE

  • Familiarity with local and US GAAP and statutory account completion

  • Staff responsibility and evidence of coaching and development of others

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Budget management and audit experience

  • Exposure to a shared service centre environment would be useful

  • Transfer pricing experience would be an advantage
