Job Description

Key Purpose:

Lead the Site Engineering which includes Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil and Projects along with Utilities & Engineering Stores.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To adhere to principles of Good Engineering Practices while ensuring readiness of the site in terms of infrastructure, Machines & Utilities as per the site requirements.

  • To comply with all statutory requirements (DISH, MSEB, MPCB, MIDC, etc) & Safety policies and instigate work practices which results in a Safe & Healthy workplace.

  • To lead / participate in hazard & risk assessment and various EHS initiatives as technical expert.

  • To maintain machinery to ensure optimum availability, minimal downtime, maximum efficiency and capacity utilization.

  • To ensure that the manufacturing facility achieves its production & delivery targets as per rolling plan.

  • To work upon major infrastructure projects like plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment’s, capacity & capability enhancement.

  • To improve plant infrastructure by incorporating innovations, better technologies and continuous improvement tools.

  • To identify and implement energy conservation measures.

  • To formulate & implement the proactive maintenance, both preventive & predictive and provide sustainable engineering solutions.

  • To carry out Root Cause Analysis for all breakdowns and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions to avoid recurrence.

  • To control and monitor manufacturing expenses, through effective utilization of resources and incorporation of systems.

  • Recruit Train, Develop and Evaluate Engineering Staff from time to time.

  • Suppliers and contractors management to improve their deliverables.


  • B.E. / B. Tech. / M.E. / M. Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical and / or Instrumentation.

  • 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing Operations preferably in the FMCG, Beverages, Pharmaceuticals or other Consumer Goods industries.
