Job Description
We're currently in the market for a Medical Receptionist to join our Kent Street Clinic on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Working Monday to Friday, your hours will rotate weekly between 6.30am–3pm and 9am–5.30pm. In this role, you'll provide front desk reception and administrative support across the clinic — a varied position where your customer service and administrative skills will be put to use supporting our patients and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, providing a warm and professional first point of contact
- Manage phone and email enquiries, appointment bookings and scheduling
- Handle patient administration, including Medicare, private health fund and billing processes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Liaise with nursing, medical and administrative staff to support smooth clinic operations
- Assist with general clinic administration and ad hoc support as required
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with front desk medical reception experience who can bring both efficiency and empathy to a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
- Previous experience in medical reception or a similar patient-facing healthcare admin role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine, caring approach to patients
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using practice management and Microsoft Office software
- A team player who thrives in a busy clinic environment
