Job Description

We currently have a great opportunity for a Fertility Nurse Unit Manager to join our Heidelberg team and will consider an experienced Fertility Nurse Coordinator for this role.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to make a significant impact.

We are looking for a strong leader who can head up this small team, someone who can drive engagement and continually develop a team who are eager to learn and grow.  You'll combine clinical leadership of the nursing team with enhancing patient care and strong engagement with doctors. 

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Leadership (NUM)

  • Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team, fostering clinical excellence and professional development.
  • Provide hands-on clinical care and expert guidance in complex or escalated situations.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and personalised patient care.

Doctor & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide compassionate, empathetic patient care, support and education, ensuring patients feel informed, respected and supported through their journey
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Fertility Specialists and visiting doctors
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient

Patient Experience & Quality

  • Champion exceptional patient experiences at every touchpoint, ensuring care is personalised, efficient, and compassionate.
  • Oversee quality assurance initiatives and compliance with clinical standards.

Qualifications

About You

  • AHPRA-registered Nurse with experience in fertility, women’s health, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage both clinical teams and operational functions.
  • Skilled in building strong doctor relationships and fostering team engagement.
  • Driven to deliver operational excellence, enhance patient experience, and grow the clinic.
