Job Description

Currently we are looking for a Medical Receptionist/PA to join our Genea Canberra Clinic
Working as a Medical Receptionist/PA, this role  is responsible for administrative requirements including reception, patient bookings, administration, office management and handling any support requirements as they arise. 

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced receptionist/administrator for this role, someone who is confident in working on a front desk reception while providing a range of administrative support tasks (a real multitasker).

To be successful in this role you will have excellent administration skills, confidence with learning new systems, the ability to work in a busy role and exceptional customer service skills (this is key to the service & care we provide our patients).

In addition you will have: 

• At least 3 years experience working in a similar role as a Doctors PA/Medical Secretary in a medical practice. Experience in Reproductive Medicine or Women’s Health an advantage.

• Ability to liaise effectively and empathetically with patients, internal stakeholders and customers

• Strong computer skills and Advanced working knowledge of Medical practice software

• Intermediate level of use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

• Highly organised with strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritise appropriately

• Familiarity with Medicare rules and processes and medical terminology

• Competent with medical billing and invoicing processes including managing daily banking 

• Be self-motivated with the ability to work and complete tasks unsupervised
