Currently we are hiring for an experienced Embryologist to join our Brisbane team working as a Lab Manager on a part time or full time basis (hours & days flexible) - if you are looking for a role that is a genuine opportunity  for career development and expansion - this may be just the role for you. 

Job Description

Heading up a small yet experienced Embryology team, this role will see you taking full ownership for the running of our Brisbane Lab. Your key deliverables will include;

  • Operational management - overseeing the day to day management of the Lab ensuring compliance, consistency and maintaining the highest standards of practice at all times. 
  • People management - Engaging, training, developing and continuously growing your team of Scientists. 
  • Subject matter expertise - Providing support and guidance to staff around best practice, developing their technical skills and 
  • Escalation management - Handling any complex cases, resolving issues and liaising directly with patients to manage escalations. 
  • Continuous improvement - Working to constantly improve the overall success of the laboratory, engaging with the broader Genea Embryology team as well as the external Science community. 

Qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Embryologist ready to step up in their career into a Lab Manager role. It is an end to end role - overseeing people, operations and science so a real chance to use the full scope of your skills.

We are looking for someone with an excellent clinical knowledge, who can learn the Genea way and then support their team to grow. You will be excited to develop into a people leadership role - with the ability to motivate, engage and inspire your staff - create a positive team culture which extends across the other teams (Nursing & admin) in the Brisbane clinic.
