We know that our teeth are important, but the person attached to those teeth is our main focus. And so the goal is to help you live a happier, healthier and more comfortable life with a beautiful smile. We do that by caring for the whole person. That’s why we have patients who return to Lancaster County for their dental care even after moving away from Central Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable 

  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment 

  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) 

  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment 

  • Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures 

  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health 

Qualifications

Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify 

  • X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements  

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
