Job Description

Dental Assistants are an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. From being the doctor’s right hand, to having the ability to connect with patients, and striving to provide the best patient experience, Dental Assistants are a key contributor to the success of our practice.  By joining our team, you will have:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable 

  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment 

  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) 

  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment 

  • Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures 

  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health 

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify 

  • X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements  

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
