Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Infrastructure Manager who will be responsible for developing and maintaining our enterprise-wide infrastructure technology. Our infrastructure team works with projects that further enable the company to grow its market presence on a global level. This is done by increasing our infrastructure scalability and resilience ahead of the anticipated business needs while simplifying development flows and optimizing costs.

You will work closely with our talented infrastructure team both during system design and development phases. Part of your responsibilities will also consist of conducting research and understanding hardware, network, storage, virtualization and cloud computing industry trends in regards to technology. This also includes identifying what automated tools and utilities we should use and how they relate in the overall enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the infrastructural architectural roadmap to move from an on-prem design to one that leverages software-defined technologies, to include public, private, and/or hybrid design considerations

  • Develop strategies and policies for the implementation and sustainment of our technical IT infrastructure

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase performance, reliability, scalability, availability, redundancy/resilience, cost-effectiveness, and infrastructure flexibility

  • Cost/Benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases for migration

  • Lead and build consensus among engineering team, in the design and development of infrastructure building blocks for simplicity, availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of global enterprise systems

  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of application and middleware integration within infrastructure platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years experience working hands-on with development of Infrastructure Services

  • Proven track record of working/designing/delivering with hybrid infrastructure solutions and Infrastructure as Code

  • Experience with working in regulated markets in terms of infrastructure compliance

  • Proven skills in leadership and communication across a geographically diverse organization

  • Ability to travel between our different offices

  • Worked with modern cloud monitoring and anomaly detection such as Datadog or New Relic

  • Experience with Cloud-Based Infrastructure

  • Deep understanding of DevOps and it's software engineering culture
