Job Description

Gears of Leo is now looking for a Java Engineer to be part of our exciting journey.

At Gears, we work in autonomous teams, responsible for the all technical aspects in the context of an explicit area. For the time being, Växjö has three different areas of focus, Retention, Payment, and Platform. 

The Payment team primarily focuses on creating the best possible payment solution on today's market. These solutions facilitate a streamlined and entertaining gambling experience that is based on real data seasoned with innovation and the gathered expertise of our fantastic team members. Our payment solutions help us meet customer needs and exceed their expectations that makes us the number one choice in the mobile gaming industry.

Responsibilities:                     

  • You will be working as a developer in a small development team dedicated to supporting our payment team in our business.

  • Responsible for both maintenance and enhancing our product offer in this area across the full technology stack from front-end to back-end.

  • As a team member, you are expected to develop expert knowledge in your team’s area and work closely with the product lead and business owners to analyze and implement new functionality.

  • You will also work closely with technical operations and business operations as the team is responsible for supporting all daily activities within the area and responsible for all involved platform components.

Our platform runs as the master system for player accounts behind the www.leovegas.com website and serves thousands of players and processes millions of online transactions each day.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a real software craftsman that has significant experience in Java and backend system development. We expect that you have experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA and is no stranger to working with relational databases such as MySQL.

We would love you if you have experience in building highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems and familiar with architecture principles such as micro-services, CQRS, EIP and EDA patterns.
