Mekanika is a leading operator in the Building and Engineering Services Industry, specialising in mechanical and electrical contracting, HVAC solutions, lifts and escalators, industrial products and facilities management. Due to further expansion, the above-mentioned career opportunity has now arisen.

Job Description

  • Install fiber optic cables at heights following schematics (on-site training will be provided).
  • Drive and operate cherry pickers (C1 or C license required). Additional training will be provided for those without prior experience using cherry pickers.
  • Lay cables in underground ducts and manholes.
  • Safely use ladders and tools for high areas.
  • Set up safe work zones with signs and barriers.
  • Follow safety rules and wear protective gear.
  • Work in tight spaces and outdoors in any weather.
  • Fill out job reports accurately.
  • Check vehicles and report any problems or damages.

Qualifications

  • Having experience in Cable installation will be considered although not necessary.
  • Have a valid Maltese driving license with category C1 included.
  • Communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Have a hands-on approach to work.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients.
  • Having a Technical mindset
  • Experience in fiber optic splicing is a plus, but the company will provide training to teach this skill if needed
