Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer on ELV`s. Reporting to the Systems Integrations Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the SI Department in Building Management Systems, Fire Detection, tendering and hands-on on-site installations;
- Leading and supervising the technicians in their daily schedules;
- Carrying out technical reports and evaluations of plant, equipment and working procedures;
- Take lead in creating works method statements for works, Quality Control, testing, inspections as required;
- Manage client requirements, quotations and works estimates;
- Prepare requisitions for works, material take offs;
- Prepare program of works, and resources plan and requirements;
- Assure materials supplied and delivery are to specs and as required, meeting clients requirements;
- Carry out quality controls, inspections, testing, certifications and hand over documentation;
- Manage the mark up for as fitted documents and drawings;
- Support and guide site measurements and preparation of payment applications;
- Submit for approval technical documentation and literatures, and follow up approvals;
- Attend regular site meetings and report accordingly, highlighting contractual issues;
- Previous experience working with ACAD will be considered an asset.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant for this post should:
- Have a relevant qualification at MQF Level 6 or equivalent;
- Be computer conversant in the use of Microsoft applications;
- Be able to work under pressure in meeting defined deadlines;
- Be organised, smart and alert;
- Be a hard worker, and eager to learn;
- Be self-motivated and prepared to work on own initiative;
Preference will be given to candidates with the relevant qualifications, expierence and possession of or else preparation to obtain the Engineering Profession warrant.
