Job Description

We are seeking a Volunteer for Lead VR Systems Programmer to join our Channel Surfing team. Channel Surfing is a small-scale open-world VR game where you can explore multiple worlds. Instead of channel surfing outside of the tv, you are in it, and able to interact with the world around you. As a lead systems programmer, you will be responsible for work with the lead programmer (dept lead) and the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To work with Lead Programmer

  • To ensure all game systems function correctly

  • To develop solutions to allow the game to ship with performance benchmarks for Oculus Quest. Experimental development is a plus 

  • To create new solutions for known limitations and problems in VR. 

  • Plus if having experience with accessibility.

Requirements:

  • Able to donate approx. 10-15 hrs. a week for a minimum of 6 or 12 months

  • At least 2-3 years experience in VR

  • Highly proficient in programming languages, such as Unity, C#, and VR.

  • In-depth knowledge of full lifecycle game programming and related technologies

  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Great organizational and time management skills
