Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON 

We’re seeking an experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our Brisbane studio and help shape the visual direction of our games. You’ll join a talented team of artists and collaborate closely with designers, animators, and programmers to bring immersive worlds to life.

What it means on a daily basis

  • Collaborate with the team to establish and maintain the visual style of the game. 
  • Ensure that all VFX align with the overall artistic vision and meet high-quality standards. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of VFX into the game engine. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate our artistic processes. 

Who you will be working with  
You’ll join a collaborative team of 30 artists across multiple disciplines at our Brisbane Studio, contributing to an unannounced project.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED  

  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine and 3D software (preferably Maya).  
  • Expertise in creating VFX in Niagara for Unreal Engine. 
  • A thorough understanding of VFX pipelines and processes.  
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Strong observation skills and a keen eye for detail.  
  • Capable of conceptualizing and animating a wide range of effects, from highly stylized to natural and fantastical (including tools, weapons, skills, environmental elements, atmospheric effects, creatures, vehicles, UI, and motion graphics).
  • Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines, including design, art, and engineering teams. 
  • Actively participating in the learning process and contributing to the development of in-house tools.
  • Prior experience with PC or console platforms is highly advantageous.
