Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

Primary focus

The Marketing Video & Motion Artist handles the full video production pipeline, from in game capture to creating engaging marketing videos, trailers, social media content and user acquisition ads for different platforms, including Microsoft Store, Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other performance channels.

The goal is to create polished, dynamic and effective video content that attracts players, supports the game brand and encourages users to download or engage with our games.

 

What it means on a daily basis

Production

  • Create high quality video content to support marketing, social media and user acquisition needs.
  • Manage the full video production process, including brief analysis, concept development, and delivery of the finished asset.
  • Capture engaging in game footage directly from Unreal Engine or game build, with attention to camera work, composition, readability and emotion.
  • Edit videos with a clear sense of rhythm, storytelling, pacing, and platform-specific expectations.
  • Create polished motion graphics to support the clarity, polish, and professional finish of each video.
  • Design and animate title cards, end cards, text treatments, callouts, transitions, logo animations, graphic overlays and other motion elements.
  • Adapt videos into multiple formats and aspect ratios, ensuring optimization for different platforms and distribution channels.
  • Enhance overall video quality by incorporating sound effects, music, text, graphics, motion design and other visual elements.

Communication

  • Incorporate client feedback (lead/internal teams/licensor) and ensure revisions are completed on spec and on time.
  • Respond promptly to stakeholder feedback from groups such as marketing, legal, and licensing, and make sure the final deliverable meets requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and consistently contribute fresh, creative ideas.
  • Provide input into the creative direction for video content, shaping the overall narrative and tone of marketing videos.

Consistency & Guidelines

  • Learn and adhere to artistic, IP, and licensing guidelines.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all video materials, maintaining a cohesive visual and narrative style across campaigns and platforms.

Organization & Reporting

  • Use Airtable to track assigned requests, update production status, share delivery links and maintain clear visibility on project progress.
  • Monitor the performance of video ads and collaborate with internal teams to improve results by providing insights and recommendations.

Innovation

  • Use creativity and innovation to propose new ideas and formats to elevate video production.
  • Offer creative suggestions for video projects, focusing on visual storytelling, pacing, and overall design.
  • Keep up with trends in gaming and video platforms, applying relevant innovations to content creation.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Solid understanding of motion design and animation principles, including timing, rhythm, typography, composition, transitions and visual hierarchy.
  • Solid video editing skills, solid motion design capability and in game capture.
  • Capability to oversee the full creative workflow, from preparing assets to delivering the final product, while staying aligned with the creative brief.
  • Can proficiently work in After Effects, Premiere, photoshop including effects such as Red Giant Suite. Illustrator and InDesign.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Refined artistic sensibilities, attention to detail, and a focus on constantly innovating and exploring new techniques.
  • Skill in handling several priorities at once while meeting competing deadlines in an active workplace.
  • A willingness to learn about game-engine content manipulation using the Unreal Engine.
