Job Description

Gameloft Brisbane is seeking a passionate Senior Level Designer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work work on exciting PC and console project with a well-established external IP.

You will be responsible for designing game environments and challenges, collaborating with artists, programmers, and other designers to create engaging gameplay experiences. Your work will include prototyping, balancing difficulty, and crafting memorable gameplay sequences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the creative vision is executed in the game's levels by collaborating with the Lead Designer and other team members.
  • Design and develop game levels with compelling gameplay, considering pacing, flow, and player engagement.
  • Integrate levels seamlessly into the game by working closely with artists, programmers, and other designers.
  • Contribute to ideation and champion level design vision, clarifying goals and objectives.
  • Craft level design documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thrive in a rapid prototyping environment, generating and refining ideas.
  • Get hands-on with prototypes and gameplay experiences to make levels fun and memorable.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in level design roles with successful AAA or global titles across multiple platforms.
  • Strong team player who can motivate and support other designers.
  • Excellent communicator with clear, precise verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient in level design principles and able to innovate when necessary.
  • Passionate gamer with a wide breadth of game knowledge and ability to analyse game strengths and weaknesses.
