Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Corporate Legal Specialist at our construction and infrastructure company in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in managing various corporate legal matters. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks aimed at ensuring legal compliance, protecting the company's interests, and facilitating smooth corporate operations.

Key duties include:

1. Handling Corporate Legal Issues:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and support in handling diverse corporate legal matters related to construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Offer guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, contracts, and documents pertaining to corporate transactions, partnerships, and regulatory compliance.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

  • Monitor and ensure strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry-specific standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in corporate laws and regulations, and proactively implement necessary adjustments in the company's practices.
  • Assist in obtaining licenses, permits, and approvals required for corporate activities.

3. Contract Management:

  • Oversee comprehensive contract management processes, ensuring contracts are legally sound, protective of the company's interests, and compliant with applicable laws.
  • Provide legal expertise during contract negotiations, contributing to favourable terms and conditions for the company.

4. Dispute Resolution:

  • Handle corporate disputes and legal conflicts, engaging in negotiations and settlements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel, overseeing litigation and dispute resolution matters.

5. Corporate Transactions:

  • Provide legal insights and support during mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and ensure adherence to legal protocols throughout the transaction processes.

6. Legal Advisory:

  • Offer strategic legal advice to senior management and various departments, ensuring legal risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution. A Master's degree in Corporate Law is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience of 12-15 years
