Job Description

As the Head of Learning you will play an important role in leading the development and implementation of learning strategies within the operations team of GROW. You will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive learning programs tailored to the needs of superannuation professionals. Your primary objective will be to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of industry professionals, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent service and guidance to clients and members.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Strategy Development:

    • Collaborate with the Operations Leadership team to define the strategic direction for learning and development initiatives within the department.

    • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps, skill deficiencies, and emerging trends within the industry.

    • Develop a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with GROW’s objectives and industry best practices.

  • Curriculum Design and Delivery:

    • Design and oversee the development of learning curricula, courses, and materials tailored to the unique needs of GROW team members.

    • Use various instructional design methodologies, technologies, and delivery methods to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

    • Ensure learning materials are up-to-date, relevant, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Learning Program Management:

    • Manage the end-to-end delivery of learning programs, including scheduling, logistics, and participant enrollment.

    • Monitor the effectiveness of learning initiatives through metrics such as participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance evaluations.

    • Continuously evaluate and refine learning programs to enhance effectiveness and address evolving industry needs.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work with the People & Culture Team in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry associations, regulatory bodies, and educational institutions for GROW.

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and external partners to leverage industry expertise and resources in learning initiatives.

    • Act as a spokesperson for GROW on learning and development matters, representing GROW at industry events and conferences.

  • Change Implementation:

    • Partner with Release Management to produce relevant release documentation to manage the implementation of changes resulting from a release for both internal and external clients.  

    • Partner with relevant stakeholders and manage the implementation of changes into teams to ensure these relevant changes are embedded in our services provided to clients.

    • Ensure business is operationally ready for any changes that come out of Product & Technology (e.g. product enhancements & other changes that come out of our releases)

  • Knowledge Management:

    • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge management system to ensure accessible procedures for staff and clients to effectively fulfill their roles.

    • Support Concentrix Knowledge Management and Training initiatives, particularly in relation to GROW processes and products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field - optional.

  • Proven experience in learning and development, preferably within the financial services or superannuation industry.

  • Strong understanding of superannuation products, regulations, and industry trends.

  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

  • Relevant certifications in learning and development or instructional design are desirable.
